i love...

how can we say to the most important person in our life as we walk barefoot with them along the beach with no sound but the crashing waves, "i love you," and then within the same hour say i love (insert your favorite band here) and expect it to mean the same thing. i think that everytime you say you love something it would make the times that you actually meant it mean less and less. now this is just a theory that i came up with but there is a possibility it could be true. i think we subconsciously began throwing the word "love" around haphazardly because we wanted to cheapen it, we want it to mean nothing. kinda like the same way we have cheapened sex. we don't want a real commitment. we use it so often that it begins to lose its meaning. and i think we began doing this subconsciously to hide our incompetence and understanding of love. but thats just my two cents worth, just enough for a pair of penny loafers. (taken from relient k song "a penny loafer saved is a penny loafer earned) so what do you think?
